Governed by a board of 4 trustees whose main remit is the satisfaction of the priority objectives set out. The trustees, Mr Robert Wilson, Mr Paul Ferone, Mr Patrick O'Conner, and Mr Alan Moutrey, have the support of a staff structure dedicated to the day to day operation of the foundation working to the specific strategy and plan implemented by the trustees.
In the short spell between September 2006 and December 2006 the project has worked with over 5,000 children and 40 schools in only four months as part of the Schools Initiative and 70 children per week as part of our Junior Development Programme. At this stage we anticipate working with over 14,000 children by April 2007, and 42,000 by April 2009. The massive success of the programmes thus far illustrates a clear need for its continuation.
A key component of the foundation is equality and it will serve all members of local communities with particular emphasis on children including males, females, ethnic minorities, special needs and those located in areas of high deprivation. In order to satisfy the objectives indentified the foundation will concentrate on 3 key initiatives, the Schools Initiative, the Junior Development Programme and the 100% Attendance Scheme. |
